Hello from Poland is an independent, non-profit invitation to get closer to Poland through the people who call it home.

I’m Omar Alshaker, a graduate of Politechnika Warszawska and a grateful resident of Poland. I made this project to share a more human picture of the country—and to help more people fall in love with Poland and Polish culture.
A conversation cannot replace a journey, but it can make a place feel less distant. It can bring out the familiar things that guidebooks miss: how someone spends a Sunday, what they cook when friends come over, what their city feels like in winter, or what makes them laugh.
Independent and non-profit
This is a non-profit project, completely funded by me. It is not presented as an official programme of a tourism authority, public body, or commercial sponsor. The aim is simple: create thoughtful, low-pressure encounters between curious callers and people in Poland.
Built responsibly
The service is being designed around consent, availability, and privacy. Volunteers decide when they can be reached, basic English is the only language expectation at sign-up, and the calling system is intended to keep both personal numbers private.
